With a blog name that literally translates to “dark box” in french, I’d say that sombreboite.blogspot.com is aptly named. With its sparse, all-black theme and little text, the focus falls solely onto the assembly of stolen images that conjure up each blog post, filling up your screen and making it look like, well, a dark box. Frankly, I’m too lazy right now to dig through their posts and figure out who’s the aesthetic mastermind behind this blog, but I’ll just say they clearly have an eye for the macabre and the gothic, which is my favorite vibe for this time of year:

2010s halloween nail inspo
Bloghouseoween continues. Today, I’m sharing some nail inspo sourced from nailartbyamyblair.blogspot.com, plus a few flickr accounts. Back in middle school (a.k.a. my inspiration for this entire account) I was OBSESSED with nail art and painted my nails a new color everyday, but by high school I decided I was into a more grunge vibe for my nails (I doodled on my hands when I got bored in class and did a shitty job of trimming them). Recently, I’ve found myself returning to my pre-teen fascination for mini works of art on my nails, and these photos scratch that aesthetic itch I’ve been having. I hope they do the same for you:
