Varco, real name Marco Velardi, is actually one of the co-founders of Apartamento Magazine, which is currently one of the mostpopular independent magazines still publishing. While his flickr hasn't been updated since the 20009 (and I suspect many of his photographs are private now), he still has a handful of images up from his days running around Brooklyn and Europe making a name for himself in the art scene. I wanted to share a few images from his album called KIDS, which contains photographs of "Lovers, Enemies, Strangers,.." according to the album description. Some of the faces are other cool young flickr famous people (Valeria Picerno makes an appearance), others are on the more senior end of the age spectrum, but what all portraits have in common is the warm, nostalgic quality of Marco's photography that makes you want to go back to a moment you never experienced.
