If you looked at T.E.I.N. Clothing's website, you'd assume it's just another new streetwear brand with an apocalypse-kawaii-grunge aesthetic, but that's not the case. T.E.I.N. has actually been a brand for over a decade, but they originally started off making clothes inspired by the cyberwave and vaporware aesthetics and received a fair share of co-signs from the cool kids and tastemakers of the 2010s. Charli XCX, Diplo, Ruby Gloom, and Mykki Blanco were all snapped sporting T.E.I.N.'S seizure-inducing clothes and featured on their tumblr. Many of their photos would be considered at least somewhat problematic by today's standards since they often featured white models wearing bindis and cornrows (and they also made vaporwave swastika edits...wish I were joking) which I assume was their attempt at being Cool and Edgy by 2012 tumblr standards. Anyways, indulge in some vaporware fits below:
