flicker finds: half alive - so zzzz

I'm not sure if I'm proud or embarrassed to admit that I scrolled through all 37 pages of Sarah's flickr. Her photostream starts in 2003 and ends in 2012, documenting her middle and high school years and post-grad partying with friends. While I'll never experience listening to Tokyo Police Club or Tegan and Sara as a  teenager in the late 2000s in Alberta, scrolling through her photostream is pretty damn close.

I'm planning on sharing more of my favorites later, but for now, here are some of my favorite photos from 2004-2007. I get a weird feeling looking through them—they make me incredibly nostalgic for the simplicity of middle and high school, even though I know how much things sucked back then. Still, I find myself missing the small joys of teenagehood that Sarah captured—riding the bus into town with friends after school, taking dumb photos in starbucks, giggling in libraries instead of doing homework—and wish I knew to document my own life as well as she did.

At least I can live vicariously through her flickr:
